Avast is okay as well as McAfee. Norton is not exactly the best, but they are the most popular due to publicity. Avast uses a lot of memory, so if you have enough use that. Normally DOS mode is not working with Windows XP and virus will not attack in DOS mode becos the era has change to Windows. I would recommend Norton Antivirus (heavy, expensive but reliable) or AVG if u wan something not heavy and free LOL.
