i learned from my mistakes of not having any protection on my computer at all im on my way to getting rid of it and im running spybot right now hopefully getting rid of it all the way but when that is done i wanna download the free version of the avg antivirus is that the best free antivirus to use or what? what are your guys opinions on this?
I’ve used it for a month old. It’s effective, fast and efficient. No complains, and it’s good. Yes, that’s probably the best anti-software to use. It doesn’t slow down the computer’s performance, but it takes up 40 MB. go to www.download.com to download it and check out more of the reviews. It is rated the #1 anti-virus for weeks on the chart.

I have used it for YEARS, and have had no problems with viruses, trojans, etc. It is a good choice, IMHO.

I use it all the time. It’s reasonably good although it scans often when I don’t want it to (separately from the configuration), which can make the system crawl along real slowly. Otherwise, for the price, it’s fine.

I had used it… its pretty cool..
the only problem is its kind of buggy sometimes.. but other then that it is great.
specially when i download songs on limewire, it pick up trojan viruses etc.

Its free! Try is out and see what you think of it. Download every version of every freeware anti-virus program and test drive them. I’ve been very happy with AVG.

AVG suite ver 8.0 works good its free and can turn it off and run other programs like spybot/adwear to make sure it is working right
AVG also lets you know that everything is working i am impressed
